2 Ovens

I wanted pizza on Friday night, and I was out running errands when I came across 2 Ovens.
I didn't know it, but it is a pilot restaurant for Bertucci's.  In my corner of the US, Bertucci's a well-know chain restaurant that serves pizza and pasta-- sort of like Olive Garden meets Pizza Hut (except I like Pizza Hut pizza better), in an ambiance more similar to Olive Garden. So, it's OK, but I wouldn't really write home about it.
However, 2 Ovens is a little bit more interesting conceptually. It has pizza and a variety of other entree options (nothing new there); however, most (all?) of the hot food it is made in a brick oven (salmon, mac and cheese, etc). There is a separate pizza oven, and the rest takes turns in the other oven.  Here is their menu.
I also REALLY liked that they serve their wine in two different glass sizes- 4oz, and 7oz, and the pricing was reasonable. The selection isn't exactly 'wine bar' level, but the sauvignon blanc I ordered was totally satisfactory.

The pizza was okay. I think most people would rate it as "very good".  With brick ovens anywhere you can get charring on the bottom of the pizza crust and, for me, the blackened areas are bitter and best avoided.  Most people don't have that issue though.

My conclusion: I'd come back again especially for paint nite or plant nite and I'd try another menu item. Check out the rest of the pictures:

And then there was this contraption which I had never seen before:
